We drove to the Pacific Mall in Markham today, an indoor Chinese/Japanese/Korean marketplace with hundreds of tiny shops, and very little English writing anywhere which was interesting and mildly freaky; I'm not used to going into bookshops and not being able to read, heh.
Hello Kitty was EVERYWHERE which pleased L and E freaked out over the anime stuff, culminating in pure delight when she found S1 and 2 of Black Butler in a DVD shop for $10 each. The S1 English dub comes out here in a couple of weeks so you can imagine how excited she was. S1 is all Japanese, but S2 has English sub-titles and both play on our DVD players despite saying 'Bluray' on the front.
If you're wondering why we bought DVDs that we thought were in Japanese and in a format we couldn't play, clearly you don't have a teenager obsessed with something :-)

My family only really goes to Pacific Mall when we're invited to dinner at the Chinese restaurant there, but my friends who live in the area used to hang out there all the time when they were younger. It's definitely a different experience than shopping at Square One.
