I just found out that Richard Burgi filmed part of his latest movie, Committed, coming out in April, FIVE MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
Darn. I'd probably have been too shy to actually go and hang around and say hi or whatever one does, but still. Pouting. Right here! Just down by the library where I volunteer! I drive past it on the way to yoga every week!
Committed Productions Inc. filmed a few exterior driving scenes on the Parkhill Road bridge for a suspense thriller. Cameras were located in Mill Race Park and on the Parkhill Road Lookout. Filming took place on Fri. Dec. 3, 2010.
I don't know what I'm missing about my town. It seems like a quiet little town to me, totally unremarkable, but we're forever getting film crews here; Nikita, Murdoch Mysteries, a Sharon Stone movie, a Barbra Streisand one, 'The In-Laws' with Michael Douglas... The bridge is where they mostly film; it's supposed to look European or something.
Clearly, we're up there with Vancouver. Clearly ::nods::

OMG, part of Men With Brooms was filmed at Southworks? That's at the bottom of the hill! I was there today. I've seen that movie and never spotted it.
