USBs and memory sticks and things

I love my memory stick that lets me take files from the computer to my TV to watch in comfort.

Is it just me though or are these things designed so that when you try to insert them in the hole/slot/whatever, you always do it with them the wrong way up. So you flip it. That's wrong too. You flip it back. Repeat a few times. Suddenly it slides in, smooth as silk.

Huh? What? It's like they rearrange themselves when you're not looking, just to be mean ::cries::

Yes, they do! It's like cords. I take off my headphones, lay them neatly on my desk, come back and discover they've tied themselves into knots while I was gone! How is this possible?

Oh God, yes! I now keep all our leads in individual ziplock bags in a box because they formed a Gordian knot in the drawer.
