I opened up today's (Canadian) TV Guide, pleased to see Wonderfalls mentioned on the front cover, only to see one of those glossy inserts advertising overpriced tack. Instead of a plate or a lifelike doll, this was a $150 model of the Twin Towers (lifelike flags!) with a brass plaque engraved with some words from Bush. A little blurb declared that the people making it had given 1.5 million to the 9/11 fund. So that makes it all fine and dandy to profit from it? To make ticky tacky crap that I can't imagine anyone I know having in their house? Who the hell buys this stuff?
Yesterday I unsubbed from the last of my newsgroups, apart from some on the sff.net server where traffic is low and you get a better class of poster. Some good people on the Angel newsgroup but the idiots are fretting my last nerve. Still, after six years, it's odd not to see them there anymore on my message page.
