Honestly, no joke, they're pinging me all over the place but you know, it's TV and they're not actually going there. But when you have exchanges like this after an annoyed by Mike's sass Harvey drags Mike to Louis' office and says he's being punished and Louis can have him for a case:
Louis: What can I do to him?
Harvey: What do you want to do to him?
Mike: Harvey!
Louis ::brooding, considering look:: Things.
Followed by Louis forbidding Mike to have sex....and Mike being called their boy...
I think it's a strong subtext on this show and has been from the start. I notice slash potential in shows a lot and they often play that up here (Harvey asks Mike how his bromance with Louis is going) but D/s isn't as common a dynamic on shows like this. It's really getting to the point where you have to wonder why they're putting so much in. Not that I'm complaining.
It's the body language as well as the script, and the emotions. Harvey, Mike and Louis are in this complex relationship and there's so much going on...

okay, you're possibly the best evaluator of this, considering you write it: how explicit are the D/s overtones? And the consent levels?

Yep, and it's been at spots marginal for me as is. I was just concerned that they upped the ante.
