Innocently shopping for green onions and milk in the local supermarket, I came face to face with this:

So it should be required reading for all of us, hmm?

Try and make me. Just try ::rolls up sleeves::

No website (or at least relevant google results) yet. This gives me hope.

Oh, darling. Judging by article titles, those are completely paint-by-numbers. People don't read Harlequin or Cosmo for "new stories", they want dog-bites-man. Or man-bites-woman, in this case. Either way, there are thousands of freelance writers out there, and if this actually manages to take off? I would not be shocked.

Cultural change is never pretty - excuse my denial as I hope all this leads to a sex positive conversation and at the very least, people stop being shocked that women like porn.

Jaw drops.

Mark you, it probably wouldn't be hard (quoting one of the contents) to find 20 books steamier (because better written) than 50 Shades...

Incidentally, someone on Senad just posted about a parody called '50 Shames of Earl Grey' that apparently has been published - Earl Grey is young, handsome, rich - but can his girl friend get past his fifty shames, that include shopping at Walmart on a Saturday morning...

My assistant manager has been reading the books, and comes in raving about how good they are, she can't put them down, etc. I held my tongue, because she's a nice lady, but I was a amused. I haven't read them myself, and don't intend to-the reaction of people whose judgement I trust about this kind of thing is enough to tell me don't do it.

I bet that magazine takes off, though. Being bad never stopped anything from being popular.
