I grew up reading 2000 A.D. because it was my brother's comic of choice. We read it from its inception and followed Dredd to his own darker spin-off comic.

So, hell, yeah I went to the Stallone movie -- and hell, yeah, I hissed with the rest of the audience when he TOOK HIS HELMET OFF.

Urban leaves his helmet on.

I enjoyed it. Not as violent as I was braced for and it felt like Dredd. Plus Anderson got to kick ass, though she's a far cry from the confident, seasoned Anderson of the comics, being a newbie here.

I wore a twenty-five year old Dredd T-shirt I gave to David back in the day :-)

Disappointed that the day after opening at the 7.55 on a Friday showing, it was close to empty though. I guess Dredd didn't catch on as big over here as he did at home?

And they showed the trailer for the next Silent Hill. I grinned because the scariness was undercut as they filmed the spooky scenes in the downtown of my small town and I recognized the shops and church ;-)

*cackle* Yeah, I bet having the Horror Towne be the place you have fuzzies for from childhood makes it a lot less creepy. Silent Hill, I'm guessing, is not similar at all the local ghosts and goulies either.
