It arrived so late, just before we went out to a friend's house, that I haven't even played with it yet.

David did amuse us by reading out some of the instructions.

We're not allowed to stand or sit on the open oven door.

Or keep caged birds in the same room as it because of the fumes.

I have to say, I didn't know that about the birds, never having had any, but it seemed so...random, lol.

Anyway, I think it looks lots better.

Regarding the section about the birds: humans should also not have to function as if they are the canary in the coal mine. Just sayin'. ;)

The dishwasher and fridge are stainless so yes, far more cohesive ::nods::

It does! Losing the big storage drawer at the bottom made a huge difference.

The 'form factor' is a lot better here, that tall control panel on the white one was messing with the lines of the rest of the kitchen.

Oh, and may I say I am totally screamin' jealous of your kitchen in general? I'm not really a brown person, but the tiles and cabinets are amazing together! Is your floor Pergo? I'd be afraid to cook over a real wood floor.

thank you! We did the tiles ourselves after getting the new cabinets following the dishwasher flood. I like the mix of warm wood and cool steel.

It's real hardwood but it's sealed so it wipes up okay. I don't clean it often enough though :;hangs head:: I sweep it and mop it, but it needs a real hands and knees cleaning. Maybe this week :-)
