Minus 23 C windchill. And yet would L let me wrap a scarf around her neck?

No.

I retaliated by zipping her zipper RIGHT UP so her head was tilted backward.

Eek! It was 0 here this morning, which a conversion chart tells me is -17 celcius. So you guys definitely win in the super-cold department, yikes.
