Just went to an IMAX movie (the new Die Hard; not impressed) and ow, the trailer for Jack the Giant Killer was physically painful. The reverberations of the bangs and thumps hurt my chest.

I feel like a little old lady, but I wanted them to turn the sound down. Or have less bass. I was clutching my chest to stop my rib cage vibrating. Sheesh.

They usually crank up the bass in IMAX, I've discovered. If you go again to one, try to sit in the center if possible - the effect is more balanced. If it's really bothering you, then I'd say something. ((hugs))

I WAS in the center, lol! Half way back, smack in the middle. I think it was the worst place not the best. I'm just not going again. Way more expensive too.

I like IMAX, but it has to be the right film. I agree, though, that rarely adds enough to warrant the extra expense.
