Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes for Eleanor; she was very much touched. She thinks of all of you as part of the family in many ways after hearing me speak of you through the years.
I would reply individually but I am racing around, as they say, like a blue-arsed fly :-)) This morning we went to the bank to start the process of E applying for a credit card (couldn't do it until she was 18) and then dropped her off to say goodbye to all her friends. Tomorrow we take her to Oakville for orientation day and she will meet up with her longstanding friend and roomie, who will come back with us to stay here until we move them both in on Labor Day. I've been washing the spare room bedding and cleaning up all afternoon plus gathering all E's furniture and stuff for the move in the library. We have to make two trips to Oakville since the supermarkets will be closed on Monday and we need to stock them up with food, and looking at the pile of stuff, it's just as well
It's fun because bubble wrap is involved :-))
