Mum's looking for her next one to do and oh boy are the shops ever empty! It's like they're running down their stock. Is there a New Thing we're not aware of that's superseding the kits by people like Dimensions?

I know you can get computer programs to make your own patterns but Mum's a bit wary of those as she thinks choosing the colors would be hard (she does big, complex ones with half-stitches and such).

ETA She got this one

Thanks for all the help!

I have a similar problem finding embroidery kits...it's all cross stitch around here. I'm going to take a stab at it, but I still want my embroidery. D:

Is there anything in particular she looks for? I can keep an eye out and see if something comes up and get it and mail it to you. My local Jo-Anne's has been having some stuff on clearance lately.

Most of the cross stitch programs I've seen come with ready loaded colour charts for the major floss brands and will provide a list of the shades used. So colour selection isn't a problem. So I'd advise her to check out some of the free trials to find one that suits.

My favourite cross stitch artist (Teresa Wentzler) is available from http://www.patternsonline.com/AtPOL/Publisher.aspx?PID=30 Patterns Online. Don't know if you can find anything else she likes there

When I as a cross-stitcher (before I started knitting), this was my main source - they are fairly complicated but gorgeous.
