Last night, first time ever, I had a dream about AtS in which I was there :;cough::Mary Sue::cough:: helping them on a case. I was with Wes and it was important I stayed with him.Heh. At one point, and I blame this on the trailer for their latest movie which aired during Angel, the Olsen twins appeared and Wes snapped one of their necks and she turned around and she was a zombie and...OK, shutting up now.
Last night was one episode I enjoyed from start to finish but really need to watch again as all the bits I said, 'good line' about, I can't remember now.
OK, behind cut, episode spoilers only.
Most chilling moment; Angel telling Illyria, 'Well, you didn't kill me' and she sends her axe skidding across his ashes in answer. Brr.
Loved the elegance of the Gunn solution and the poignancy of that work piled up on his desk. No flowers, no cards, just work.
Wes goes insane so well.
Angel didn't even call him on his lie. Guess he can't really, ever again.
Illyria told Spike he had permission to go. Uh, he is her pet now isn't he? ;-) Spike's fighting in this against her was brilliant. Loved that she's pushing him to excel. Those two spark beautifully; not shippy, just sparks.
Angel saved Spike. On purpose.
And the end. What? What! Got to be a trick. Don't see how he came to that conclusion from what Illyria said.
'Still like him better than Eve'. Howled. Shout out to the fans right there. And though I can't remember the line (must watch again), when Illyria is lying there and they ask if she's OK and she says something like, 'Back off, vermin' with her automatic human insult switch set to 'on', it tickled me. She comes up with some nifty metaphors and similes and such. 'Weighs less than sunlight' stuck with me and the bit about vampires at night.
I really need to watch it again to be anything like coherent.
