I've said, loudly and in public places, that the only pairings that tickle my tastebuds are Spike/Buffy and Spike/Xander. Oh, my, how those foolish, immature (what? It was last month! A lot's happened since then!) words come back to haunt one.

Last night David went off to see the Headstones play at a local pub and I stayed in. I know two songs by them and that wasn't enough incentive to shell out for a second ticket and a babysitter until 1.30 am. So I settled down to write some of my current S/X, got a few paragraphs done and screeched to a halt. I'd bookmarked a fic to read after seeing it recc'd on someone's journal (can't remember where as I was lost at that point; you know, you go deeper and deeper in and need a ball of string to get back to the LJ you started from) so I clicked it up and settled down to read at 10.00 or so.

At midnight I prised the mouse from cramped fingers and staggered off to bed, my mind a whirl of lust filled imaginings. Some people like cocoa to relax them, I go with the lust, m'kay?

Spike and Giles. Spike and Wes. Wes and Giles. Spike _and_ Giles _and_ Wes...and possibly Angel later. Too much of a good thing? No!

Now I fell for Giles before Spike (Spike wasn't in S1 after all) and I've always liked Wes in all his incarnations (if only the reviewer at TWoP knew how I hiss at the screen when I read the merciless digs at him in the Angel reviews. I'd say something but, eh, if you don't have good taste, you just don't) so I don't know why I've never thought of this/these pairings before. It makes so much sense. I'm hooked. Don't know if it's just this fic (Tea and Biscuits by [livejournal.com profile] wesleysgirl and [livejournal.com profile] byrne btw but probably everyone else in the whole world has been reading it for ever apart from me. Well, I got to read lots of it in one go so there.) but I want more. Lots more.

Now the poor authors are probably thinking I'm a strange obsessive stalkery type reader so I'll stop raving enthusiastically and go and read some more of it. Or maybe just go back and read that bit where Spike and Giles tell each other bluntly just what they want to do to each other. Yes. The dishes can wait.
