The birthday is
chrisleeoctaves one of my favourite friends (she must be because I write Buffy/Angel for her ::grin::) and the lovely lady who held my hand as I changed web pages. May it be a wonderfully happy day ::hugs::
And it's my tenth wedding anniversary! Which is tin, which is dull. We're blessed with kind friends who are taking the girls for a sleepover, so we're going out (!!!) and coming back to an empty house so no need to worry about babysitters and we can - heh, do whatever the hell we want to ;-)
Just for the sake of it, here're two photos of us on our wedding day and yes, I still fit in the dress, so that's not bad going...
The cake one, we were laughing so much...a friend made it and David said he cared about nothing as long as the icing was soft. So we went to cut it, knife upside down as is traditional, hands overlapping. Then I started to squeak with pain as my hand was getting crushed as David bore down, and pushed him aside, turned the knife over and tried again. Like bell metal. We ended up hacking at it, giggling more and more, until the catering staff took pity on us and swept it away. Probably needed a hacksaw...tasted lovely though.
It was a good day.
