As I came back from shopping to find an inbox full of fellow Giles fans sharing my indignation about the Bargaining comments, I thought I'd better listen to it again, just in case I'd got the wrong end of the stick and was being unfair to them. It went something like this,
FURY. "...Tony is not, like, our big demographic grabber - you know; do people tune in for the older, stuffy British guy? But he does lend a gravity to the show that I think makes everything else work so nicely."
NOXON "Oh, and it was really missing when he was gone.."
FURY "It was."
NOXON. "You could feel it much more than I think we anticipated, the centre felt like it was kind of missing."
Then she goes into a bit about ASH's acting where he always wanted to be doing something (cleaning his glasses and such) and sounding as if that was terribly old school. Then she laughed about thinking he had an eating disorder because everytime she looked he was eating bananas. I got a smut fic out of those bananas! Leave them alone! ::deep breath::
There. That was it. I still think they're idiots.
