Started work on my fic for the Willow/Giles ficathon yesterday and I'm at 1400 words, which would be good if I were anywhere near finishing. Having a lot of fun with it; darker than I usually do, though I've written dark W/G more than schmoopy, and I think I know where I'm going with it <---- fatal words.
We go to watch PoA tomorrow; tried to get tickets yesterday; drove all the way to the mall and the box office isn't open until 6.00. They had the automatic ticket machines but we've got some vouchers that will knock twenty dollars off the total so we need to buy them from a human. They expire in a couple of weeks and I didn't munch my way through endless boxes of honey nut Cheerios for nothing, darn it.
Car broke down at the traffic lights on the way to soccer practice last night. Heart stopping anxiety as it was a big junction and just me and the girls. It just died; driving along and the engine stopped and I coasted to a halt. Franctically tried to restart it; totally dead (and not one person beeped at me; can you imagine?). I ended up putting it into park and it started, went around the corner, died again... A friend followed us home from the game in case it happened again, and we charged the battery to full, but it sounds like an electrical fault. Damn. Now I'm going to be scared stiff as I drive.
David leaves for a week in England on Tuesday; he'll be able to fit in a visit to friends and see his parents, which is nice but eight days is a long time for him to be away ::sad pout::
