spuzz! Hope you're having fun; Saturday birthdays are always so nice ::hugs::
Yesterday was cooler, lots of wind, black clouds gathered - but no rain. We need that rain. Today is fresher, just below 80 and beautiful. David's watching Live 8, the Barrie concert and the kids are mooching.
We went to our friends yesterday and met their guests from England, some of whom I knew, some I was meeting for the first time. They're all from the Portsmouth area, where we lived, and one of the women had me whimpering with envy because she'd gone to see Rope at Chichester in '93, with ASH, Alexis and John Barrowman.
And left before the end.
Eep.
She says ASH was naked in it too and has a gorgeous backside and thighs. Well, we know that ;-)
I just uploaded my recent Buffy/Angel fic to ff.net on a whim. I haven't put a story up there for months and months. Be interesting to see what happens. Had to jump through some hoops first and it's changed quite a bit there. The story stats are interesting and include the hit counter that you used to only get if you were a paying subscriber, although they get reset to zero quite often. I'm amazed that my fics had any hits; there are hundreds of thousands of Buffy fics up there; how do they find older ones of mine from three years back?
It struck me that I just don't pimp myself all over like I used to. I'd write a fic and post it/link it on ff.net, Buffy creative, TWoP, BoB, Yahoo groups... now it's my LJ and my web page and that's it. Maybe an LJ community if it's appropriate, but I hate feeling like I'm spamming people, so I don't do that often.
Part of the change is that I'm lazy, and it takes ages, and I could've written another fic in the time it takes; partly because LJ seems to be more where it's at these days and a lot of those places just aren't there any more.
Speaking of which, I have two fics to put on my web page... used to do that the same day.
I really am getting idle.
And my original fic has stalled terribly ::whimper:: They won't shut up and fuck. Is that too much to ask?
