Birthdays, noms, and fic

First the birthdays! Happy Birthday to hobbit_feet and thefakeheadline. I hope you both enjoy today so much it's left a wrung-out exhausted heap on the floor at midnight :-) Have fun! ::hugs::

And next, I was lucky enough to be the first commentator when sara_merry99 asked for a prompt in the Pay the Porn forward meme and I asked for Jim/Blair with Blair being surprised by a book Jim was reading. The fic's up now and it's just perfect, hot and very much them, with a great take on the unexpected book.

I was also chuffed to find that four of my Sentinel fics, Mine, All Mine, Dateline, Flying Into the Black, and Reaching Out, were nominated in the current round of the Rerun Awards with some very nice things said about them which put a huge smile on my face this Monday morning.

Squee and lots of it!

The mail arrived and such a lot of it! I got a lovely card from marguerite_26 and Torquere Press, my One West Waikiki discs from Nat and a package from nakedwesley just full of goodies. Thank you so much! Looking forward to watching the con reports and seeing Colin in Davinci's Inquest and the photo! EEE! You had him sign it to me! You're such a sweetie ::smooshes you tight::

It's like a second Christmas without having to cook a turkey :;happy sigh::

Now I just need someone to give me some extra hours in the day to fit in watching all the shows I have backed up ::g:: I've got Torchwood episodes 10, 11 and 12 to see, the DW Christmas special, some due South episodes...lots and lots of stuff.

David and I finished watching Hogfather last night; enjoyed it very much. Susan was beautiful; don't know the actress but she was visually stunning. We were agreed on not liking Nobby though; he was way too normal looking.
