This is Secretary's first ever nomination and I have to say I think it deserves one because it was a damn good story. I can praise it without feeling like I'm being odiously conceited because I was only part of the team and it also felt as if it wasn't written so much by me and the others as a group/hive mind of the four of us, a separate entity.

I posted a short bit of it over on the therethereluvs comm a few days ago and I think, I'm 90% sure, I wrote it (apart from the first few paragraphs which I'm sure were Bit's) but if Bit said, 'no, that last section was me, first part was you', I wouldn't argue with her. I can't imagine not being able to recognise my own work in the normal scheme of things but Secretary is different and I deliberately wrote my chapters in a way that wasn't my usual style, although it has affected my subsequent writing in many ways. We wanted it to be seamless and it pretty much is.

And now it's been nommed and it doesn't really matter what happens after that because I'm sitting here murmuring 'yay!' quietly to myself :-)

My fic for the 'Sentinel Gets a Clue' ficathon, minimum words 1,000, just hit 4,500 and I'm midway, if that :;facepalm::

It's slash, has to be for this ficathon, but for the first time, I've got them out of the loft and Having An Adventure; kind of fun and not much time for smut which is new and exciting ground to me ::g:: My only concern now is that the wafer-thin mint of an amusing plot twist I had to start with is melting under the weight of all these unplanned, unexpected words...
