Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] lamardeuse! Hope it's everything a birthday should be and you have a wonderful time celebrating :hugs::

And I have a Sentinel rec: [livejournal.com profile] elementalv has written Wrong Road, an AU with a guest character from another show (to say more would spoil it and you'd hate me if I did). I beta'd it, which pretty much means I read it and added three commas and one note while chortling happily that I got my mitts on it first.

I hope she writes more, but it's complete as is, PG13, UST, pre-slash, Jim's still a cop and Blair's... go find out :-)

And once again, I got no sleep. God, when did I lose the knack of sleeping through the night? I'm like a zombie, staggering around the place, bleary-eyed.

But not eating brains. No.

I realised how long it's been since I posted fic; I'm not being idle, though; I'm working on finishing an original short story I've astonishingly been writing for 18 months and yet it's still under 7,000 words, making icons now and then, editing, and working on a new vid. And if you thought the last one was angsty, well...
WMM is being very, very naughty. Unless I play the song from the very start to get to the point I want to edit -- not something you want to do over and over when you're a minute and a half in -- the song and the images go out of sync so I can't edit a clip in the middle of the vid.

It's never done this before... tried rebooting, but no, doesn't help.

Damn, this is slowing it to a crawl. At least I cottoned on; I was starting to panic and think I needed to redo the whole thing as it was miles out and I thought I'd done an injudicious cut, or deleted an entire clip, or something.

Okay, I'll stop whining and just post it. The music still ends at a different point in WMM than it does in the finished one, but I've tried deleting the music track and repasting it in with no success and I guess it's okay like this (can you tell I have the attention span of a mayfly?)

ETA; fixed the music (a bit) and reuploaded the file.

Around 18MB, wmv.

This is another angsty vid (they really do make it easy to do them, which is odd considering how many cute, happy moments there were). It's based mostly around the 'Sentinel, Too' arc, with Jim literally drowning in guilt and loss over what happened to Blair.

It's the Rolling Stones' version. David asked why I didn't do it to the Glenn Tipton cover and played it to me last night. OMG, because it's crap, that's why!
