First birthday wishes to
estepheia; I do hope that the day's brought you nothing but happiness, too much of it for one day, in fact so you have some left over for the rest of the year.
::much love::
And Eleanor turns 13 today and is now officially a teenager.
Meep.
David got back last night and is off until Tuesday, so we all went for breakfast at Fifties, followed by some back to school clothes shopping and then miniature golf.
The Mayor would approve, I'm sure. Oh, and we dropped off a load of cat litter and food at the local humane society, where we got Mac and Tally. We do that from time to time but this time was special
Why? Because some utter scum threw a brick through the windows, got in and stole all the donated money and birthday presents people had left for Oscar the 14 year old cat who lives there permanently. The animals were all freaking out and the repair bill is huge for a place run on donations and volunteers.
Are no words. The good news is that they've had a lot of people doing what we did so there is a silver lining. This is on a par with the people who broke into the Food Bank to steal stuff a few years ago.
The birthday girl has retreated to the Fortress of Solitude to play with her new Nintendo DS and/or watch/read some of the anime DVDs and books that the birthday fairy brought.
