Making good headway on the book I'm writing over the summer for Torquere. I just hit 41,000 words (started June 5th with 5000 words already written).

I also found out today that a short story, 'Fresh Start' I wrote for the 'Master Me' anthology that Total-e-Bound are bringing out has been accepted, which is great. It's m/f, BDSM-themed and around 18,000 words. Not sure about the release date yet, but I'll keep you posted.

And Whipped Cream Reviews, who gave Truthful Change by Alexa and me 4.5/5 stars have included it in their weekly vote for best book, so fingers crossed. Their review is here and the poll opens on Saturday here.

Truthful Change is selling really well and getting some very nice reviews so that's making me smile. I'm missing having the time to write fic, but hopefully I can take a week off at the end of the summer and indulge myself. I couldn't ever give up writing my own stories, but it feels very different than writing fic somehow. I guess it's the Tom Sawyer and the fence painting syndrome, except original fic doesn't feel like hard work exactly...could be the deadlines add an element of pressure and the need to meet a word target each day. Eh. All I know is that I'm very lucky to get paid for doing something I love.
