What I'm watching

Summer's the time when I watch a completely different set of shows. Eleanor and I are still devouring Psych; I reduced her to speechlessness by telling her that the next episode had Sue Sylvester in it as Chief Vick's sister. She was in crossover heaven when we watched it :-)

David and I are trying Warehouse 13, lured by the Buffy people involved on the other side of the camera. We've seen the first three. Fun, if derivative, and the lead man looks a lot like DB which is disconcerting.

I'm also giving Eureka S4 a try. I lost patience with it mid Season 3; loathed Carter's sister, was bored with the arc of a signal coming or something and just tuned out. I have to say that 4.1 was very good, though; I'm feeling the love again.

And looking forward to the new character you've all been squeeing about :-)

Lie to Me is off my watch list; just got abruptly bored with it. Same with Rookie Blue, though E is still watching. I started to watch last week and found myself grimacing when the characters appeared on screen. Just don't like them and don't care about them. Oh, well.

I'm currently watching three Next Top Models at once; Britain, New Zealand and Australia, plus Top Chef and Project Runway.

I am perpetually astonished by two things when it comes to reality cooking shows and the NTM franchise; the number of chefs who smoke constantly (doesn't it wreck their tastebuds and sense of smell?) and the number of model wannabees who have never walked in heels.

HELLO? YOU WANT TO BE A MODEL! EVEN I KNOW HIGH HEELS ARE GOING TO BE ATTACHED TO YOUR FEET OFTEN. SHEESH.

Drives me NUTS.
