Thank you all for the sympathetic comments about Talisker. As they flooded in last night and today, we read them and yes, they made us cry (more) but in a good way. So many of you have gone through this, losing your own beloved pets and it's never easy, but for all the grief I'm feeling now, I wouldn't have missed having Talisker to love the last fourteen years.
The tears are worth it.
I took flowers (a basket of spring bulbs so they won't fade quickly) to the vets to thank them for all their efforts and kindness. We'll be going to the humane society where we adopted him at the weekend and leaving them a donation. Too soon to think about adopting again -- and Macallan wouldn't like it -- but in time, yes. There are always cats like Tally that need homes and we're cat people, always have been.
There'll just never be a cat quite like him for me.
Crying again. God.
Comments off and I hope no one minds if I don't answer the comments individually but I don't think I could do it without losing it completely.
You're all so kind. It's very much appreciated. I can't imagine a crisis or a joy without sharing it with all of you.
::much love::
