Last night, I posted about a chapter of the RWA running a writing competition and changing their policy of years to ban same-sex romances. Plenty of us said, well, get new judges then.

Wouldn't work.

As seen on this blog here, when Larissa wrote to the chapter to offer a group of people willing to judge all and any books, the group told her

“Thank you, Larissa, but it was never a lack of judges that made our determination. It was that the majority of our members were uncomfortable with being a contest that takes same-sex entries.”

A petition to the Romance Writers of America is here.

David and I have been watching this show from episode one (rare for us to both watch a show; ones we have shared are Buffy/Angel, SPN, Chuck, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Top Chef which aren't many over the last 15 years or so) and I have to say I love it.

There's a dark edginess to it but Nick himself, despite being different in that he's a Grimm, is so very normal and just plain nice. He's a total sweetie-pie. Juliette, his girlfriend, after a slow start, is showing some interesting layers and can kick ass too. Love Hank and Wu, and Monroe is just plain adorable with Nick. Masses of chemistry there.

Lots of pretty, Nick and Hank especially, good diversity in the main characters (and I love the coroner who's an older woman, pragmatic, unflappable, unglamorous, in other words, she looks real), nice mix of single MotW episodes with an arc running behind them.

And that trailer is a cousin to the TARDIS, I swear :-)

Anyone else watching?
