So tomorrow, Lauren's school will be closed (the teachers are on strike).
Unless talks/threats change that in which case she will be expected to go in.

I'm not unsympathetic to some of what the teachers are angry with but I'm annoyed that it's the kids who're suffering. All extra-curricular activities, like after school sports, lunchtime clubs, have been suspended for weeks now and even if things are resolved it's too late for some of them to resume (like proms and the big school trips to the US or Europe that take months to plan).
This will it/won't it situation is too much. It's fine for me; I work from home. If L stays here or goes in, it makes no difference to me. But working parents who need to arrange daycare and can only do it provisionally when it's already nine PM...well that just sucks.
