I've never wanted to give someone a hug more.

Stoke just played Chelsea at home, and we've been unbeaten at home for a year. It was Jonathan Walter's 100th game in the Premiership with us and he scored two own goals and then missed a penalty in the dying minutes with the final score Chelsea 4, Stoke 0.

My poor woobie.

The irony is that in the first half we were all over them, nearly scored, looking strong...and Begovic made some incredible saves for us, then fifteen seconds from the end of the half, SJW gave away the first og and then when they came back out, everything went wrong.

The Chelsea penalty shouldn't have been given either. Total dive.

Oh well. There's always next week.

Some years back, I contributed a short story to a Torquere anthology about paddles, called 'Rough Edges'. The book is OOP now so the story is available for free and the BDSM group on Goodreads have done a podfic of a shortened form of it as part of a series of audio recordings they're doing.

If you'd like to listen to it, read by Sirly Eric, it's here if you're a member of the group, and on YouTube as well.

Story summary: what happens when the cop who pulls you over for speeding on a bad day is also your Dom?

Just reading J D Robb's latest, 'Delusion in Death' and got to this line when they're searching the suspect's place:

[name redacted] chose gray here, Roarke thought. Every shade of gray from palest smoke to deepest slate. He supposed [name] read gray soothed and was this season's hot color choice, when in reality, in this unrelieved palette, it depressed.

Dig at Fifty Shades or coincidence? Who knows, but I smiled.
