Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Anyone watch this? Eleanor found it and we're mainlining season one before the start of season two. It's like Psych if Shawn had made it into the police force. Peralta even uses some Shawn-like phrases and physical humor. 'I've heard it both ways' got used and a 'Whaaaat?' which made me grin. Funny, warm, and Andre Braugher as the gay captain is my favorite character for his deadpan delivery and no-nonsense assumption of control over his new team.

I like the way there are love interests, yes, but they don't overwhelm the plot and the female characters aren't there just to BE love interests. It edges toward the wacky and even worse, the heart-warming, but never quite crosses the line and there are moments that work brilliantly (Peralta punching out a guy who insulted the captain being one of them).
