We just had a minor bit of excitement; I was in the utility room, by the side door transferring wet clothes to the tumble dryer when there was this huge bang and a flash of light and a whoosh outside. We ran out into the street to find everyone staring; seems one of the overhead cable had blown its fuses and knocked out power to most of the street (but not us, not yet :;fingers crossed::). I called the hydro company and they're fixing it now. Most odd. Like being near a bomb going off in a minor way.
Very hot today; we're all off to a party at friends who have a pool and a hot tub. I plan to immerse myself in one of them at least, depending on the temperature of the pool, and relax.
Wimbledon final is on. Can't bring myself to care. Not after...oh well.
