Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] eccentrici and [livejournal.com profile] spikes_heart! It's grey and rainy here but I hope the sun's shining on you both today ::hugs::

It's also the birthday of my niece; my sister and I went into labour a few hours apart, so David's parents were presented with two granddaughters, one late Sunday, one early Monday, nine years ago. Emily's a lovely little girl and I wish I saw her more but she's in England....Incidentally, she's won all sorts of trampolining contests and her coach represented Britain in the Olympics last week which was cool.

The birthday party went very well; the parents all went home at about 10.15, with most of us slightly squiffly and we ended up with five little girls crammed into the spare room (the one you had, Wolfling!) and Lauren in her own room. I didn't have to go into them once and they woke at 7.30 which wasn't bad.

My back feels much better and the snit I was in yesterday has simmered away, as they do. I posted three rants, ranging from bitter to sarcastic to funny and deleted them all once written. Which is fun to do and very cathartic, unless you hit 'post' automatically ;-)
