Anyone want some bruises? I have some. We got a call from the garage to say that the car was ready ($775 ::gulp::) so I went looking for David. Came in from the drive, put my foot on the mat inside the front door and started to slide dramatically. Came slamming down with one leg bent under me and across the threshold.

Major ouches. Bruises and cut skin on the top of my toes, front of my ankle and knees, huge bruise on the underside of my other arm; can't quite figure that out.

I lay there in a crumpled heap after one surprised yell (howl;scream... something) and despite there being three adults and two children around, no one came. Eleanor said she'd heard me but assumed Daddy had gone to help me (he was in the back garden picking raspberries it turned out). I had to painfully drag myself to my feet and hobble in search of sympathy. And then, two minutes later get in the car and drive to the garage to pick up my car.

I feel shaked, rattled and rolled but it's sort of interesting seeing how fast a bruise comes up. I was hurting so much I wanted those bruises as proof ::g::

And I've started to put Secretary up on my page, still unbeta'd, so it's possible to read it in one go; three five parts up so far, each part being about 40 chapters, or 100 pages.

We got Star Wars and David is watching it happily. Somehow we also emerged with Clan of the Cave Bear (me), Life of Brian and Legend (both of us). Legend has a director's cut version too. Oooh....can't wait.
