John Peel has died. He's part of my teenage years and he's gone and that's just so very sad. I can hear his voice in my mind though it's been years since I heard it for real; it was that distinctive and he was that memorable.

A very cool man.

I'm also miffed because Eleanor's diorama got a B+. A bloody B+. Well fine. And the DVD player with the surround sound and the five disc capability that's the heart of the whole home theatre thingummy froze last night (with an Angel DVD in it!) and has to go back to be repaired. I mean; we bought it in March; what the hell is this? The dishwasher, VCR and DVD have all needed repairing in the first year. That's sucky manufacturing. Though David took a screwdriver to it and menaced it until it gave back my Angel disc.

And bloody Sears, who should've delivered a sofa and a loveseat last Thursday but only delivered the sofa, who were supposed to be bringing us the loveseat today, rang this morning to say they couldn't. And didn't ring back until I did, at 12. And haven't rung back again and it's 4.00.

Excuse me. Just going to go and get English on their arse.

ETA. It's [livejournal.com profile] secretary_rpg making me edgy, I swear it is. I miss Wes...

Sofa not in sight. Might have a loaner delivered tomorrow; the shop floor model of the one we've ordered. But in cream, not black.

Just hope they don't care if it's a little grubby when they get it back ::eyes Lauren warily::
