Just off to Lauren's first ever Christmas concert :;blinks away anticipatory tears of pride:: And, because I'm me, I'm filling in the thrity minutes before we go by writing smut and baking cookies for tonight's cookie exchange.
They are supposed to be circles. They are squished shapes. Oh well. Hopefully they'll taste OK and I have Pretty Boxes to put them in.
Mum and Dad arrived safely although I was livid because mum got a wheelchair pusher from hell at the airport who demanded a tip and when mum gave her all the US currency she had (they had to change planes at Newark) she said, 'Is that all?' and pulled out a huge wad of notes and said 'THIS is what I get tipped. If that's all you've got, take it back, I don't want it.' Mum explained that she was going to spend Christmas in Canada and didn't have any more US money and she said, 'I take Canadian dollars and sterling but here, take it back.'
Mum would have hurled the money to the ground and jumped on it at this point if she hadn't been, you know, disabled and awake for the past 20 hours, so close to exhaustion...
