I am in a brain daze from decongestants, which leave me giddy and dry-mouthed so I'm wondering if they're worth the bother and from much cut and pasting as I work on the ratings page. I'm also, much to my horror, discovering quite a few fics not on the pairings page, not on the main page, one imaginatively titled 'Untitled'... Really, it's just as well I'm doing this spring clean.
I started reading Ian Banks' 'Raw Spirit' last night; Mum gave it to David for Christmas as he's a single-malt fan. It's the author on a tour of the distilleries and full of many laugh aloud bits (a la Bill Bryson) as well as social commentary on Scotland in 2003 with the war with Iraq just starting. I'm enjoying it as a glimpse back at places I know quite well (the Hebrides in particular) and a look at home in general. Anyone else read it?
And gah, I bought some new liquid soap for the downstairs loo, vanilla and brown sugar flavour because it sounded interesting, and I loathe it. My hands reek of it and it's making me feel ill.
