The freezing rain has gone and we have normal rain instead. The sort that melts the snow and makes me feel spring-anticipatory. I'm such a gullible fool ::waits for blizzard::
I am being very, very patient, and haven't rushed out to buy AtS S5 at 9.30 am. David has been entrusted with the mission and will (he'd better anyway) be picking it up on the way home. I almost (not quite!) don't want it. Sure there's a space waiting for it on the shelf above the computer, alongside 7 BtVS, one Firefly and 4 AtS DVD sets, but this is It. The Final One. Collection complete.
Conflicted emotions are tiring.
So is writing, but that's too much fun to stop doing. Even if my Secretary fic will never end, ever. How can it be this long and still (for Secretary) relatively smut-free? 'Tisn't natural.
Writing Giles/Ethan with the lovelywesleysgirl is going so well. I'm writing Giles but Giles with Ethan is very different to Giles with other people and as this isn't a pairing I've done often, and never in this much detail, I'm finding it fascinating.
And I started to write about why I think G/E is such a stress-free pairing because so much of what has to get swept under the carpet with other Giles pairings doesn't apply, and I paused. God, I'd just be asking for it, wouldn't I? Holding up a kerfuffle lightning rod. Never mind ::grin::
