I just emptied the mailbox and there was a flyer in from Bell Canada about their internet service (Canadian equivalent of BT for those in the UK). On the front is a picture of a page from a biology textbook with a drawing of a nude woman. Her breasts and pelvic area have been excised and the pictures beside it make it clear that what's been cut includes the ovary (sic).

The caption is:

'You'll do anything to protect your kids from inappropriate content.

So will we'.

Yes. God forbid they find out women have breasts and aren't like Barbie between the legs.

How the female body is inappropriate unless we lose our sexual organs I don't know. How this relates to 'parental controls' which, presumably are targeted at porn, I don't know.

Nudity does not equal porn. Nudity may, perhaps, be inappropriate at certain times and places, for many reasons, but in a textbook under the heading 'The Female Body'? No.

Excuse me; about to go and make a phonecall.

ETA Called and got a number (310 Bell) where I can complain but it's only open between 8 and 5 and it's now gone 6. There was a stunned silence when I said I wanted to complain about a flyer being offensive... really. A pause of about three seconds, which is a long time.
