Thanks to everyone who commented on the Bell ad yesterday; my fingers are sort of giving out a bit from being online too much this week (all numb and tingling :-( )so I didn't reply to all of them, but I appreciate people sharing my concern.
It took me over twenty minutes of menus, transfers, computerised voices, thirty second lectures on products, getting cut off after being on hold for five minutes; you know; the usual, but I finally got through to a person, here:

She was nice enough but said it was a follow-up to the TV commercial (which I haven't seen) and the TV ad showed parents (insane, crazy parents one assumes) so narrow-minded they thought a biology textbook was pornographic. The Bell slogan is 'we're all connected' and so... well, at this point the explanation rather petered out because for the life of me, and I was being very polite, I couldn't see the connection at all. Did Bell want to imply they were equally moronic? I couldn't get a straight answer on what the message was supposed to be, what I was supposed to take away from it.
She said other people had 'expressed concerns' and that she'd pass on my comments.
She let me rant without arguing and I got the feeling that she was just there to soothe.
