Just noticed a weird spike in my webpage stats and discovered 83 people went to look at my naff acrostic fic. Well, that's 83 people who'll never read me again. ::sobs::
But I remain cheerful :-) I'm hoping to finish up Running Scared tonight/tomorrow although I might not, and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wesleysgirl and I suddenly, out of the blue, went from exchanging hypothetical possible ideas for a fic to plotting the whole thing out (with much drooling) to starting tagging and we have 2,000 words done already today. It is going to be brill. I shall say no more. I'm too busy bouncing at the thought of some of the stuff we have planned.
I'm also still recovering from watching Troy at the weekend and discovering that yes, Brad Pitt looks pretty darn spiffy naked and covered in sand and blood. Never was much of a fan but, mm, yes.
Not a bad film; bit slow but David refused to ff through the fighting. We sat there exposing our lamentable lack of memory of Greek mythology, muttering stuff like, 'And Achilles sulked in his tent for lo these many days; yes! I remember the tent!' or 'He rides around the city in his chariot. No I don't know why. Oh. That's why.' or 'Just who kills him anyway? Oh... not him, obviously.'
I did have the odd howl of, 'It's a freaking battle! You don't get timeouts!' and 'Your leg is being sewn up. At least bloody well wince a bit!'
I'm also up to the last five episodes of Tru Calling which, as promised, has been getting steadily better. Losing the sister (more or less) helped I think. Some have been a tad cheesy but the suspense is getting to me now and I've been jumping and squeaking in places.
I want Faith, uh, Tru, to deck that whining reporter though. Nosy bitch. And I seriously wouldn't have recognised the guy from Beverly Hills 90210 who looks so much older. That show must have been years ago... now *I* feel old.
