I'm sitting in a peaceful house. The holidays are over. For a little while.
Frantic getting ready as usual. It seems Lauren needed to take a hard-boiled egg into school. Which I knew, I just forgot until 7.50 when I remembered, started off a pan of water feeling smug - and then discovered we used the last egg yesterday making Green Eggs and Ham for Lauren (I chickened out (OK, I didn't mean that pun but it's funny, so let's pretend I did) and had mine yellow, but I have to say the green scrambled eggs looked quite pretty and spring-like.
Thankfully I have a friend who lives around the corner with school children, so I knew she'd be awake. She gave me two and I boiled them both and sent them in, so that if another mum forgot it wouldn't matter. And I bet they did. Really is a lot to expect first morning back.
And we had/have more snow. ::whimpers pitifully::
My web page counter flipped to 100,000 last night which is nice. Still have four drabbles to write so I'll try and get those done.
