Today E had to go to school dressed as a medieval lady. Tomorrow L has to go as her favourite nursery rhyme character.
In September, I'd have been all for it, even given my severe limitations when it comes to making costumes.
Now? Not so much...
On Wednesday one of my oldest friends, her husband and their ten year old son arrive from England to stay for two weeks (they're going off to visit places during the time; Algonquin park, Ottawa, Niagara...). Very excited as I haven't seen her for three years although we talk/email often. We've been friends for 30 years with, as far as I recall, two arguments worth speaking of. And the one when we were 12, involving a tent and a melon, was totally my fault :-) Much tidying planned...
