We had rain yesterday. Rain. The temperature plummeted from 100 to 60 and we had thunder, lightning and an hour of solid, drenching rain.
Our back lawn is a straw-yellow with one small, circular patch of green where the Mount Tikki Soki sprinkler we borrowed for the kids to play with ran for twenty minutes three weeks ago. I have great hopes that I'll wake up in a few days to discover that the lawn is green again all over.
Of course, then David would have to cut it again...
If all goes well, I'm heading up to Chapters tonight with my friend to get HP6. Wasn't going to; Saturday morning would've been fine, but she said well why not? I hope you don't have to have pre-ordered to be allowed in or something, but it's only fifteen minutes away and we're going up before the store usually shuts anyway so we should be okay.
I volunteered at the local library as usual on Wednesday and asked if they had a copy, or if they were going to have to wait until Saturday for their copies to be delivered. Got the strong impression that they were on the premises but she wasn't sure, just hoped that they were so that they could be prepared on the Friday and there waiting to be borrowed first thing Saturday.
Feels odd to be this excited over a book. No. I can't believe I just wrote that. It feels odd to be this excited and have other people share it. Yes, that's better ::g::
I'm tagging on two things but finding it really hard to settle to do the two original fics. Maybe it's because there's no pressure but that which I apply. ::pushes harder::
I shall do the word count and shame myself into increasing it a bit:
