Cold is really bad still (won't go into details; see how much I care?) but thank you for all the good wishes; much appreciated ::hopefully germ-free hugs::
Got an SG-1 rec;

It's, ironically, called 'Cold' and it's a WIP with the first two parts up and more to come, hopefully soon as I can't wait to see what happens next. This is a dark Jack/Daniel, beautifully evocative writing and very different; not your standard fic at all; not even really all that 'shippy. Spooky and scary and gripping with Daniel deeply affected by something on a mission and we're not sure what yet.
And, to carry the theme along, I just watched a S1 SG-1 episode called 'Solitudes' set on an ice planet. Loved it; even though you know they're going to get rescued, there was still a lot of tension and emotion and it let me forget the congestion, sneezing, dizziness... all that stuff I wasn't going to mention. Heh.
And, like everyone else, sending all good thoughts to those affected by Katrina; hope that those of you who've had to leave return to find your homes safe. I can't imagine the turmoil and chaos down there... just dreadful.
