First, Happy Birthday
romanyg. You're one of the most positive forces on LJ to my mind and a truly lovely person; I hope today brings you happiness in abundance ::hugs you::
I'm still far from well but ack, it's just a cold. It will pass. It meant that I forgot to pimp No Limits last night; the episode Remains was written by
stakebait with
wesleysgirl and me co-writing part of it and it's a fun, fast, slashy episode that was a joy to work on.
The next episode up is the one WG and I co-wrote so helping out on this one was a great way to get back into the swing of things after a break. The season is nearing an end now (I'm working on parts of episode 20 so maybe I'm anticipating a bit :-)) and as ever, hats off to all involved; you really don't know how much work goes on behind the scenes and it's amazing how it always comes together.
Still catching up on SG-1 (nearly finished S1 and I've seen almost all of S5 which means that episode is coming up soon... plus a dozen or so from all over the place. Mildly amused because I watched an episode of Space in which a character dies, stood up, stretched, wandered into the computer room and put on an SGA episode and there was the same actor playing a different role. Heh. Not just Joss who uses actors again and again. As I'd been feeling quite sad over the character dying it was nice to see him alive and well in another galaxy :-)
Eleanor had a scooter for her birthday which means that she now goes out of the front door on her own and scoots along the sidewalks unsupervised. This is huge. She's not allowed to cross roads so she just goes around the block (quite a long way). I mean; she _can_ cross roads but encumbered with the scooter and all... okay, tiny steps.
It's weird. She's never really been out of the house alone before. God, we do over-protect them... at this age my brother and I would just leave in the morning and roam through woods and park, coming home when it got dark, walking or on our bikes, alone or with friends. Different world.
