Two new shows, one after the other. Is it just me who gets mildly panicky when watching pilots because I want to love them but sometimes it's all just too much pressure and I'll have to tape them and watch them and arrange my life around them and maybe it's easier to just wait for the DVD/not bother?
Anyway, diving behind a cut so I don't have to be cryptic but short form; Bones, I can take or leave, Supernatural I adored.
I've read most of the Kathy Reichs books but they dodn't really have much to do with the show; I didn't feel as if I was mentally filling in blanks (like for LotR...). DB was, well, DB. Competent but always that little bit distanced somehow and he still looks very much like Angel. I liked it but it was trying a bit too hard. Lots of repetition of dialogue, like the hating psychology line.
Liked the lighting; very lush, and it's decorative and classy when it comes to sets; very open. Temperance was a bit mind-bogglingly quick to violence and I don't know much, but surely any evidence got the way she did would be inadmissable? I'll watch it again, but probably not carry on taping it and if I missed one I wouldn't care.
Supernatural I knew nothing about barring the trailers which have been all over the place. David says I'm the only one who wants to slash the brothers the worst possible way.
I just know that isn't true :;eyes f-list with a quiet confidence::
Not that I will necessarily, but I don't see that them being brothers is going to slow people down because oodles of chemistry.
There's something so darn cool about the idea of it all and it had some really creepy bits in, lots of snark, and it just appealed to me.
I'm out of practice at in-depth reviews. That's all I got off the cuff.
