It's also the birthday ofnwhepcat who is one of my LJ friends that I've met in real life and so can say with authority not only exists but is a lovely, sweet woman whom I hope very much to meet again some day. I think of you every time I use my Jane bag :;loves::
The next chapter of 'Leaving Time' may not be out today because ::pause to squee:: David and I are childless and fancy free.
Yes; two friends just came and swept the girls off to Toronto Zoo for the day and they won't be back until 4.00 at which point Eleanor will grab her stuff and head off to a birthday sleepover.
Those of you who don't have children, and didn't emigrate so doting relatives who'd adore to have the kids for the day are 4,000 miles away, and can't count the number of times they ever get to go out solo on the fingers of one hand might not understand the giddy joy with which I am filled.
'Leaving Time' is at a non cliffhangery point and about to enter a new stage so I don't feel too guilty and who knows; I might be able to post before tomorrow as the chapters are short.
God I really am addicted to writing, aren't I?
