David and his parents all arrived safely and we're currently waiting for the ice to melt on the Christmas tree that's been outside all week. It's in the garage now (marginally warmer than outside, but not much) and I've tried a hairdryer with no success. I've propped open the door from the cats' room to the garage so that warm air can waft over it, but all it's done is turn the cat's room as cold as the garage.
Humph.
I was distracted and cheered by an email telling me that The Scent of Water a Buffy/Spike I wrote ages ago, the fic that led directly to me getting an LJ, so it was nearly three years ago, I suppose, has won Best Short Story, Best Buffy Characterisation and Best Spike Characterisation at the Love's Last Glimpse awards. ::is chuffed::
