Okay, gone less than 48 hours bit it seemed like a long time; did you miss/forget me? ::quivers lip expectantly::
More on the trip tomorrow, with photos of blue sky and snow, but we ran the digicam's batteries dead so we can't d/l the pictures yet.
I'm shattered and off to bed but wanted to say thank you to
luvsbitch and
aimeelicious for the lovely cards; thank you so much! ::hugs you both hard::
In the post was also a Stargate book I bought for me with a Chapters token, one of those essay collections; I have Buffy, Angel and Firefly ones and this one seems very similar; one or two I've skipped to come back to, some I've loved. It's edited by P.N Elrod and Roxanne Conrad and it's called 'Stepping Through the Stargate'.
And on the 3 and a half hour journey back from the Algonquin I plotted out the rest of my original novel. 'First Bite From the Apple' and can't wait to get back to it when the holidays are over, or earlier if I get chance. I'd been stuck on something and the more I thought about it, the worse my solutions got. David, when I'm blocked, usually says: have the aliens come down and kill them all, and I was strongly tempted.
I had to go skip 450 on my f-list and I had 144 emails (which reduced down to nine after I'd deleted the spam). This means I skimmed my list at top speed and very likely missed stuff but I think I got the important stuff like kerfuffles and kitties :-)
