destina who was one of the first authors I read when I found the SG-1 fandom and who's a hard act to follow. Hope it brings you everything you wish for and more ::hugs::
Gorgeous sunny day. Yesterday I cleaned all the bathrooms; today, just to give you some idea of the magnitude of the task, I'm doing Lauren's bedroom and expect it to take the same amount of time. Gah. Messy. And then I shall be Mean Mom and refuse to let her and her friends play in it this afternoon so it stays tidy for at least a few fleeting hours... they trash it. Totally. I found them yanking the stuffing out of a toy last week; all over the place. They seemed to think as they hadn't made the hole it was okay to remove the stuffing. Just like it was okay to stick jigsaw pieces to the wall using copious amounts of water. And jump off the bed so the ceiling above me shakes.
For some reason, despite the fact I usually end up forgetting they're not my kids and lecturing them sternly (about floorboards, plasterboard and the like last week), they like coming here and they really are so cute playing together, bless them. They come up to me, all earnest faces and call me 'Lauren's mom' like it's my real name...
