After a morning of tidying and watching football (the team I was supporting won, but, oh, so sad when it happens that way and shame on them all for the fighting) I got chance to check my birthday list and two lovely, special people are celebrating today.
Happy Birthday
crayonbreakygal and
chlare! I do so hope this is turning out to be the best day it can for you and that it's the start of a wonderful weekend of celebrating :;much love and hugs::
And now back to the holiday itinerary; two weeks today we'll be landing in Calgary and we have no car booked and only one hotel. Eeep.
And I just looked on the map and it sunk in that unless we drive up the coast or take the ferry to Vancouver Island (which we were told is a huge line up and expensive so we were considering skipping) I won't actually get to see the sea as Vancouver Island will be in the way. Which makes me pout. Or is the map misleading? Because I want to see ocean, stretching out to the horizon. I've missed that living here in Ontario. The Great Lakes give the illusion of that space but you know it's not real; that there's land not that far away, and it doesn't count and it doesn't smell right.
And unless I can log on somewhere, I'm going to be afk for TWO WEEKS which hasn't happened before, not ever, and I'm already wondering how I'll cope. Since I began writing I haven't gone that long without doing some most days and I can't write using pen and paper; it ends up this illegible, cryptic scrawl.
And I'll miss two weeks of squee over S10/S3. Do they show Stargate in Vancouver? They should, but I bet they don't...
Okay, I need to stop whining because it's the first holiday we've had in years and I'm thrilled about it but... going to miss you all.
Happy Birthday
